Constable Training Act 44

Mansfield University provides Constable Certification and Continuing Education programs.

The Constables' Education and Training Board of the Pennsylvania commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) has certified Mansfield University as a program provider.

MU conducts the following five components of constable training:

The Basic Training is open to those who are seeking to become a constable or who already hold the office of constable or deputy constable. Certification is awarded only to individuals who hold the office of constable or deputy constable. Attendance and successful completion of these programs is required in order for a constable to be certified to perform, and to be paid for performing, judicial duties.

Our Staff

Our Instructors are trained professionals in their respective fields and receive updated training annually from PCCD. Our instructors include representatives from the following professions:

Retired Police Officers
