Participate in an intensive five days of saxophone. Solos, duets, quartets, and saxophone choir. Recitals by faculty and students. Topics include auditioning, technique, tone, reeds and other equipment topics, repertoire, sight reading, doubling, jazz, listening, teaching and learning.
All participants will receive individual instruction as well as in small groups.
Camp faculty include:
- Dr. Joseph Murphy, degrees from Bowling Green State University , Northwestern University, and Bordeaux Conservatory
- Kevin Hoferer, degrees from University of Northern Iowa, Eastern Illinois University, and University of Oregon
Camp counselors are selected MU alumni and music majors. The counselor to camper ratio is less than 10:1. Students and counselors live in the campus residence hall and eat in the campus dining room.
