Morning Studios
Computer Art - In this studio, campers will use Photoshop CS3 to manipulate digital photographs in a variety of ways. Artwork will be created from both stock photographs, as well as digital photographs taken by campers. Campers will enjoy using computers to create innovative works of art!
Sculpture - Campers will use their creative imagination to take ideas from a flat 2-dimensional thought to a 3-dimensional form. This studio's activities include lots of hands-on work which utilize reused objects as well as objects from nature. Campers should also look forward to learning about several famous sculptors of our time.
Afternoon Studios
Printmaking - Campers will explore a variety of printmaking techniques and materials, including stylized block prints and using household items to create original designs. In the studio, campers will view and discuss the work of other printmakers and turn something ordinary into something ultra-cool. Campers will make enough prints to gift, keep and trade.
Drawing - Drawing is the foundation of all the visual arts. Campers will learn to draw the world around them with different kinds of tools such as charcoal to Japanese bamboo brushes to sharpened sticks and even the opposite hand. Campers will create their own sketchbooks.
