This six-day camp is designed for artistic exploration, experimentation, growth, and fun for artists of a variety of levels of ability and interest. It is designed to meet the needs of the young and beginning artist.
Our instructors include public school teachers and professionals with expertise and a sincere interest in working with children.
Our camp counselors are Mansfield University Art Education students that are enthusiastic about the experience of working with young artists and will offer an additional artistic presence for our campers. They provide 24 hour supervision and reside in the residence halls. We are proud of our 1:10 ratio of counselors to children.
Your child will choose one studio each from the morning and afternoon group. A listing of the studio offerings will be available soon. Please note your first and second choice from each group on the registration form.
Parents and guests are welcome to attend the Art Exhibit at the conclusion.
Meet Your Camp Director
Gayle Hill is currently a master's student in the Art Education Program at Mansfield University. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics in 1979 from Mansfield State College and decided two years ago to return to school to work on her Art Degree. Always having a love for children and art, the two seemed to go hand-in-hand when pursuing her teaching degree. Gayle wants to bring something different to the surrounding communities by offering an "intense" overnight art camp. Gayle's objective is simple, she wants the campers to have fun, be creative, and walk away with a mini portfolio that will demonstrate their artist talents.
