What's New

Become a part of the law enforcement profession and serve your community.

ACT 120 may be just what you are looking for. The Municipal Police Officers' Training Academy (ACT 120) is certified by the Pennsylvania Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission. The purpose of the Academy is to provide each recruit with the professional skills necessary to function as a municipal police officer.

The Program:

• Is certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
• Requires 750 hours of instruction and development of personal skills
• Uses certified instructors who are employed in the law enforcement/legal field
• Is available on a full-time or part-time basis (see schedule below)
• Prepares cadets for employment opportunities within the field of law enforcement
• Allows cadets to earn up to 19 undergraduate credits which is a great start on an Associate or Bachelor's degree. "Click Here" for information on Mansfield University's Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration

Program Schedule:

Full-Time Academy	Part-Time Academy
Meets Monday - Friday, generally from 8 am - 4:30 pm Accelerates completion of the program Housing on-campus is available Next class - May 26, 2009 Registration deadline: April 10, 2009	Meets Tuesday & Thursday evenings, generally from 6 - 10 pm & Saturdays, 8 am - 4:30 pm Allows you to work while attending the academy Next class - September 8, 2009 Registration deadline: July 30, 2009

• Vehicle code, Accident Investigation
• First Aid & CPR, Operation of Patrol Vehicle
• Crisis Management
• Defensive Tactics and Firearms
